About Best of Panama Competition

Best of Panama is one of the most prestigious coffee competitions in the world. The competition is held annually to recognize the best coffee beans in Panama. Organized by the Specialty Coffee Association of Panama (SCAP), the judges are composed of coffee experts from around the world.

Coffee beans entered in the competition come from various coffee estates in Panama. The beans undergo careful processing and roasting after harvest, and then are judged based on flavor, aroma, acidity, sweetness, aftertaste, and other criteria.

Award-winning coffee beans are given the title of "Best of Panama" and are sold at higher prices. These coffee beans are often considered some of the best quality beans in the world.

Coffee Estate Story:

The Hola Geisha coffee estate is located in the Volcan Highland of Panama, known for its high altitude, fertile soil, and cool climate, ideal for growing Geisha coffee beans. The founder of Hola Geisha estate, Ms. Yesenia Rodriguez, is an experienced coffee farmer, dedicated to producing high-quality Geisha coffee beans. Ms. Rodriguez personally oversees the planting, processing, and roasting of the coffee to ensure each bean presents its best flavor.

Hola Geishall Green Tip Geisha coffee beans are known for their unique flavor. These beans have flavors of jasmine, honeysuckle, citrus, candy, and jasmine green tea. These flavors are produced through the washed processing method, which removes the fruit and acidity from the beans, preserving their unique taste.
