My journey has been full of discovery and surprises: from a beginner who knew nothing about coffee to someone who can now share this passion with everyone. I still remember knowing nothing about pour-over coffee and then brewing my first cup with a grinder that cost less than HKD$100. Every step remains vivid in my mind. Now, through our forthcoming coffee-equipment rental service, I would like to extend that joy to you.
My coffee journey
At first, my knowledge of coffee went no further than instant coffee. After entering this captivating world, however, I began to discover the enjoyment of brewing coffee by hand. From the Flair 58 toComandante the C40 grinder, and then the Fellow ODE electric grinder,I watched countless YouTube videos and Instagram posts about the Flair Espresso before buying the machine, and spent nearly HKD$5,000. The cost hurt, but I felt even more anticipation. From adjusting the grind setting to finally watching the manual pressure gauge rise slowly, every detail was exciting.Every upgrade represented a deeper pursuit of coffee. I have now even changed my living space for this interest, simply because I hope to have a coffee corner of my own.
Sharing the joy of coffee
Coffee has become much more than a drink to me. It is an experience and a pleasure. Each brewing session comes with music and the calming sound of grinding beans, before ending with the slow enjoyment of a cup brewed with care.
As I acquired more equipment, fellow coffee enthusiasts would sometimes ask about my experience using it. More recently, after holding several coffee gatherings and talking with other coffee enthusiasts, something changed in how I saw the whole process. I used to think the experience ended when a cup was finished, but it does not. We can keep sharing and discussing, exchange particular coffee beans, or invite friends to unbox and taste them together. The idea of a cup that seems finished but can still be refilled can continue without limit. After all, shared enjoyment is better than enjoying something alone.
By holding coffee gatherings and speaking with other coffee enthusiasts, I discovered how rewarding it is to share this interest and allow the joy of coffee to continue.
