[Planting at Home] Share your experience of growing cherry blossoms at home and the story of cherry blossoms and coffee lovers.

What I want to share this time is my attempt to plant cherry blossoms in Hong Kong. I think most people who buy fresh-cut cherry blossoms should be planted in water. After planting in water and the flowering period is over, they may be affected. I am thinking about it. , if I add mud, will the flowering period actually be longer? As a result, by accident, I came up with the following story, which helped me successfully plant it.

In fact, I have always had an inexplicable affection for cherry blossoms. In addition to the morphological distribution, I actually really like the color of its petals. What’s more, the beauty of the tree, the distribution of branches. , I think it’s really pretty.

Friends who paid attention to my IG last year should have seen the same cherry blossom branch. However, when the branch was moved, the root was accidentally cut off, and then pests invaded, so it eventually became necrotic, so the branches actually have continuous growth. I told myself that if I see cherry blossoms again, I must successfully plant them again! Finally, after waiting for adulthood, it finally happened! But I really didn’t expect that there would be so many places selling them in Hong Kong at this time. Before the story came out, I thought some of the remaining stores in Hong Kong would stock them, but luckily you reminded me that I finally bought them. , Okay, it’s time to get straight to the point!

So I thought about it, but at the same time I was thinking about it, if I add mud, will its flowering period actually be longer? As a result, I accidentally hit it and discovered that it has a stem and a large branch! But unfortunately, it was accidentally cut off when it was discovered, and the above story turned out.

Cherry blossom planting experience sharing

So when I went to buy fresh cut cherry blossoms this year, I thought about buying soil to see if there was any soil suitable for growing cherry blossoms. As a result, several merchants told me that it is impossible to grow cherry blossoms in Hong Kong. If the climate is not good, the roots will not grow. After hearing this, I instantly became depressed, but I was really unhappy, so I ended up carrying piles of mud at the flower market, went back home to study, and tried the same method as last year. The result was, There are stems with green leaves, and they seem to be growing tightly, so it is uncertain whether they can be saved. So I decided to make this post to record it, because I had actually Googled it before to see if anyone would be able to plant cherry blossoms in Hong Kong. It turned out that most of them are water plants, which are only suitable for short periods of time. I think I can plant them for a year. I have seen it since then, even if it is a long-growing plant, it does not have to be in the flowering stage, because after one year, if it succeeds, I think it will be very beautiful with only leaves, even without petals.

Cherry blossom planting process and summary

I planted this cherry blossom this time as I was writing this article. I’m so glad that I saw it growing stems the day before yesterday. It was partially successful in the soil. I think it’s mainly because of its hydrophobicity, the thick soil layer, and the burial. There is enough oxygen for it, and it sounds like it is useless. But in fact, I don’t know if anyone has tried planting it in a large pot. You will find that if you plant it for a long time, the stems will become bad and die. I have tried this situation before, and I think it is a problem with the planting tray. Most of the trays you buy on the market, the larger the tray, the lower opening will only have a small hole for you to remove the plant stems. Oxygen can only be absorbed through the upper surface of the soil. Most of the water below is used to store water and the excess water can escape. There will be a chance to use the lower hole first, so if you don't have enough for half a year, you will find that the tree grows more and more. The slower it goes, the more likely it will eventually die. So when I buy any disk at home, the first thing I notice is that there are so many holes. I hope that this hydrophobic material will allow the soil and water to be properly stored and in contact with the air surface. , but the disadvantage is that the tray is much larger than normal planting, and there may be more water. The method is written in the picture. If you are interested, you can refer to it.

The above is all what I said while recording. I don’t know if you can see it clearly, but you may be able to see it. If I have time later, I will buy several copies to let you know how to use this method. kind
