It's a coffee sharing pot, not a boiling water pot
The official name of this product is HA Coffee Pot/HAコーヒーポット, and Kalita classifies it as a coffee server & decanter. When using, place the filter cup above the spout of the pot, let the brewed coffee flow into the pot, and then dispense it from the spout into the coffee cup.
It is not a hand brew kettle used to boil water or control the water flow, nor should it be used as a direct heating appliance.

HASAMI & Kalita Hasamiyaki Series
HASAMI & Kalita is a ceramic series created by Kalita in collaboration with Hasami Town, Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan. Hasami Town has a long history of making ceramics. The series combines local production techniques with the functions of Kalita coffee utensils, presenting white utensils that are thin, simple and easy to integrate into daily spaces.
Usage
- Place the cleaned HA coffee pot on a stable surface.
- Place the corresponding Kalita filter cup firmly on the spout.
- Add water according to the amount of coffee powder, tea and brewing formula, and let the coffee flow into the pot.
- After finishing brewing, remove the filter cup and replace the lid.
- Hold the handle firmly and dispense the coffee from the spout into the cup.
- After use, wait until the appliance returns to a suitable temperature, then clean and dry completely.

FAQ
Is this a hand brewing kettle?
no. It is a ceramic coffee pot/sharing pot placed under the filter cup to receive coffee. It is not a hand brewing pot used to boil water or control the water flow.
Is the capacity 700ml?
The official full water capacity is about 700ml. Space should be reserved for daily brewing and moving. It is not recommended to load coffee to the mouth of the pot.
What filter cups can be used with it?
Kalita officially states that it can be used with HA101, HA102, HA155 and HA185 filter cups. Before using other filter cups, check the bottom diameter, supporting position and stability.
What is the difference between HA Coffee Pot and HA Coffee Pot S?
This product is HA Coffee Pot No. 35197, with a full water capacity of about 700ml. The HA Coffee Pot S is another smaller model with a different product number and capacity; do not mix the two when shopping or uploading pictures.
Can it be heated directly on the stove?
It cannot be used as a kettle or direct heating appliance. Its purpose is to receive, hold and share brewed coffee.
Can it be placed in an electronic microwave or dishwasher?
Kalita's official product page does not list relevant compatibility information, please refer to the actual manual. Before confirming, it is recommended to use a soft sponge to wash by hand to avoid sudden temperature differences, collisions and abrasive cleaning tools.
Are the surfaces of every piece of ceramicware exactly the same?
There may be slight individual differences in the glaze color, surface texture and details of fired utensils, and will also be affected by the shooting light and monitor color; this does not mean that each product will show the exact same white tone.
