Product introduction
HARIO 1st brings pour-over coffee preparation into a single pour: set up the paper filter and ground coffee, then continuously pour in the required hot water to let the coffee flow into the server below. It suits anyone starting with pour-over coffee or looking for a simple daily brewing routine.
Star-shaped grooves inside the dripper regulate water flow through the structure of its walls, allowing one pour to wet the grounds and extract the coffee. When following the manufacturer's recipe, there is no need to time a separate bloom or pour in multiple stages.
The 400 mL heatproof glass server has 240 mL and 360 mL water guide lines. Measure the water first, then transfer it to a kettle to boil; the clear glass also lets you see the coffee flowing in. Its handle-free body and black grip band reduce the space it takes up in storage.
After use, wash and air-dry the dripper and server. The dripper nests fully inside the server, keeping both pieces together in one place—useful when cupboard or desktop space is limited.
The manufacturer provides reference recipes for regular coffee, iced coffee and coffee with milk. The glass server is microwave safe: when making coffee with milk, warm the milk in the server first, then brew the coffee into it according to the recipe.

Use and cleaning
How to brew
- Before first use, wash the dripper and server thoroughly. Place the server on a stable tabletop and fit the dripper.
- Fold a HARIO V60 size 02 cone-shaped paper filter along its seam and place it in the dripper. Add the amount of ground coffee specified in the manufacturer's recipe.
- Measure the water required for your chosen recipe. If helpful, use the 240 mL or 360 mL guide line on the server, then transfer the water to a kettle to boil.
- Pour the required hot water continuously over the grounds in one pour, following the manufacturer's reference recipe to complete extraction. Once the coffee has flowed into the server, remove the dripper and serve.
- Remove the dripper before microwaving and heat only the glass server. Use oven gloves to take out the hot server.
Cleaning and storage
After brewing, remove the used paper filter and grounds. Wash the dripper and server with a soft sponge and a neutral dishwashing detergent, then rinse with clean water. Avoid abrasive cleaning powders or metal brushes when washing the glass.
The set is dishwasher safe. Drain thoroughly before storing, and keep the glass server from knocking against hard objects. The glass server is intended for hot drinks and microwave heating; do not heat it directly over a flame.
