Product Introduction

Designed for specialty coffee, HARIO V60 meteo paper filters offer faster water flow as another way to adjust your pour-over coffee recipe. In HARIO’s own comparison, their flow rate is approximately 3 times that of conventional V60 paper filters. When brewing, adjust grind size, coffee dose and pouring rhythm to suit your beans and recipe.

The filters have a multilayer structure made from paper/pulp, abaca fibres (Abaca) and polylactic acid (PLA). Abaca is a natural fibre from a banana-family plant. Its strength and good liquid permeability contribute to meteo’s flow design.

Each box contains 50 sheets. A small tab at the top of each filter makes it easier to separate a sheet and place it in the dripper when preparing to brew. The original box slides open sideways and doubles as a filter stand; slide it closed again after taking out a filter.

Choose 01 or 02 to match your dripper size: 01 fits the HARIO V60 01 dripper for 1–2 cups; 02 fits the V60 02 dripper for 1–4 cups. Both are made in Japan and contain 50 sheets per box.

How to brew

1. Fold the filter along the seam and place it in a HARIO V60 dripper of the same size.
2. Rinse the filter with hot water and discard the rinse water from the server. Add medium-fine ground coffee and gently shake the dripper to level the coffee bed.
3. Pour in circles from the centre outwards to wet the coffee grounds evenly, then allow approximately 30 seconds for blooming.
4. Continue pouring in circles at a steady rate, avoiding pouring directly onto the paper filter. Adjust the dose, grind size and pouring rhythm to suit your beans and the amount you want to brew.

HARIO’s basic brewing reference uses 10–12 g of ground coffee per 120 mL serving as a starting point for adjusting your recipe.

Cleaning and Storage

The filter and coffee grounds may still be hot after brewing. Let them cool slightly before removing and discarding them together. After taking out a fresh filter, slide the cardboard box closed for storage. Keep the filters and box out of reach of young children.
