What Do You Need for Office Pour-Over? Brew and Drink with One Cup

Office pour-over does not always require a separate server, drinking cup and stand on the desk. Coffee Stage Sharing Cup L Size can receive the brew, act as a personal coffee server and become the drinking cup, removing one piece of equipment and one transfer from the workflow.

L Size has a recommended fill of approximately 300ml, with handmade finished pieces typically around 300–330ml. It can receive a suitable pour-over dripper directly and offers a wider opening and roomier interior for drip-bag coffee.

Method one: Place a pour-over dripper directly on L Size

A suitable, stable dripper can sit directly on the L Size rim. You still use a kettle, dripper, filter paper and coffee, plus a scale if needed; what you remove is a separate server and the transfer after brewing.

If your usual recipe uses 20g of coffee at around a 1:15 ratio, L Size can serve as the personal coffee server in the same workflow. Adjust the actual brew for the coffee, dripper, grind, pouring method and flavour you want.

Four steps from brewing to drinking

  1. A pour-over dripper placed directly on Coffee Stage Sharing Cup L Size while a kettle pours water

Receive the brew directly: Set a suitable dripper securely on L Size and brew on a stable surface.

  2. Close view of the relative position of the dripper, Coffee Stage Sharing Cup L Size rim and coffee scale

Check the position: Confirm the dripper base, cup rim and scale remain stable while brewing.

  3. Removing the pour-over dripper from Coffee Stage Sharing Cup L Size after brewing

Remove the dripper: Once brewing is complete, lift away the dripper and drink directly from the same L Size.

  4. Coffee Stage Sharing Cup L Size used as a personal server, pouring brewed coffee into another cup

Pour when needed: L Size can also be used as a personal coffee server before pouring into another cup.

Check three things before placing the dripper

  1. Base contact: Does the dripper sit securely across enough of the rim?
  2. Weight and grip: Does it remain level after adding coffee and hot water?
  3. Brewing room: Do your dose, pour volume and drawdown method leave enough room inside the cup?

Dripper bases, weights and anti-slip designs vary. When pairing a new dripper for the first time, check it on a stable surface before pouring water.

Method two: Place a drip bag directly on the L Size rim

Drip bags remove the need for a separate dripper. The wider opening and roomier interior of L Size provide more working space for the paper arms, bag body and coffee level.

We have used L Size with both cone-shaped and square drip bags. In the photographed setups, both sets of paper arms sit on the rim for brewing. Designs, doses and instructions vary by brand, so check stability and the distance between the bag bottom and coffee level when using a new product.

What does L Size remove from the office workflow?

With a pour-over dripper, L Size combines the personal server and drinking cup, removing a separate server and one transfer. With a drip bag, a separate pour-over dripper is usually unnecessary; remove the bag when brewing is complete and drink from the cup.

It does not replace the kettle, coffee or the appropriate filter. The practical simplification is between receiving and drinking the coffee, which is especially useful on a desk, in a shared space or whenever you prefer a discreet setup.

Frequently asked questions

Does L Size fit every pour-over dripper?

Dripper base diameter, weight and anti-slip design vary. Check that yours sits securely on the rim and remains stable after adding coffee and hot water.

Must I use 20g at 1:15?

No. It is only a familiar personal pour-over capacity reference. Adjust the recipe for your coffee, dripper, grind, pouring method and preference.

Does L Size fit every drip bag?

We have demonstrated cone-shaped and square drip bags. For another product, confirm that the paper arms sit securely and observe the coffee level according to its bag shape, dose and brewing instructions.

Can L Size be used as a coffee server?

It can act as a personal coffee server, then be used for direct drinking or pouring into another cup. A dedicated server is still more convenient when sharing one brew among several people.

Make office coffee with less equipment

If you want to receive pour-over coffee directly, use a drip bag, or combine a personal server and drinking cup, L Size was designed for this workflow. Check your dripper or drip bag for stable support, then leave enough room for your usual recipe.
