Known condition: Firing deformation

This piece has been inspected and may be used normally to hold and drink beverages.

Natural shape changes occurred during high-temperature firing. The rim may not be perfectly round, the body line may shift slightly, or local proportions may differ from the regular-version standard, so the piece was not included in the regular range.

This is a natural result of ceramic firing rather than later damage, and it does not affect the stated normal drinking use.

The degree of deformation differs for every Archive Piece. Refer to the product photos and condition notes for the actual item.

Archive Pieces | Please Read Before Buying

Each Sharing Cup passes through forming, drying, glazing and high-temperature firing. Even with the same materials and firing method, clay shrinkage, glaze movement and temperature differences inside the kiln can create natural variations.

Some pieces do not meet the appearance standards of our regular products, although they retain their stated function and their own forms and firing marks. We keep these as Archive Pieces so they can continue to be used in another way.

Please note the following before buying:

1 | Every Archive Piece is different
Differences may include uneven glaze colour, local colour variation, small pinholes, glaze marks, slight deformation, a rim that is not perfectly symmetrical, or other appearances formed naturally during firing.

2 | Product photos aim to show the actual condition
Each Archive Piece is an individual work. We photograph its main visual characteristics and noted imperfections as clearly as possible. Actual colour may still vary slightly with lighting, screen display and viewing angle.

3 | Drinking or display use will be clearly stated
Each piece is classified according to its inspected condition:

— Suitable for normal drinking: appearance differences only; the piece can hold a drink and be used normally.
— Display only: not recommended as tableware; it may be used as a vase, display object or for another non-food purpose.

4 | Archive Pieces do not represent the quality standard of new regular products
Their value lies in forms and firing marks that cannot be reproduced exactly. They are not suitable for customers seeking complete symmetry, uniform glaze colour or the appearance of a regular product.

5 | A disclosed appearance difference is not accepted as a reason for return or exchange
Each item's condition is described and photographed before listing. Purchasing means that you understand and accept the disclosed appearance differences.

If an item is damaged in transit, or has an undisclosed condition that affects safe use, contact us as soon as possible after delivery.

6 | Quantities vary and are not restocked on a schedule
Archive Pieces arise naturally during production. Their form, glaze, size and quantity cannot be planned in advance, and they are not deliberately produced for sale.

Each piece exists only in this particular form and moment.

We do not present Archive Pieces as defects repackaged for sale. They honestly preserve results that emerged during ceramic production.

They may not meet regular-product standards, but can still be used or appreciated. Their differences may make each one a piece for one particular owner.
