HARIO Harior 7 Dual-Layer Mesh Coffee Press | 300・600mL

Introduction

HARIO Harior 7 uses a double-layer stainless steel filter inside a heatproof glass server to brew by immersion and pressing. Add ground coffee and hot water, let them steep together, then press the filter down to keep the grounds at the bottom and pour the brewed coffee into cups.

The double filter is its direct structural difference from Cafe Press U. The metal mesh allows coffee oils through, while the frame, lid, knob and filter shaft are also stainless steel. Harior 7 brings double filtration and the feel of metal equipment to your daily brewing.

The 300mL／2-cup and 600mL／4-cup models both use a double filter. Their main differences are server height and practical capacity. Both have a 90mm opening; choose according to the amount you want to drink or serve at once.

Use and cleaning

1. Add ground coffee and the hot water specified in your recipe, fit the lid and leave the filter at the top while steeping.
2. HARIO’s press-brewing demonstration uses approximately 3 minutes as a guide. Adjust steeping time to the coffee and recipe.
3. Place the server on a stable surface and hold the handle securely. Keep the filter shaft vertical, press down slowly, then pour the coffee to serve.
4. After use, empty the grounds and separate the double filter, taking particular care to rinse fine particles from between the two layers. Wash with a soft sponge and neutral detergent. Dishwasher safe. Do not heat the glass server over an open flame.
