The HARIO V60 Classic pour-over coffee dripper has a cone shape, spiral ribs and one large opening. The V60 Classic range includes resin, heat-resistant glass, ceramic and stainless steel models. Choose a size first, then compare materials and colours by weight, feel and appearance.

Choose a colour last; each material and size shows only the colour combinations that are available.

V60 design and brewing

Three design features leave room to control your pour

  • Cone shape: Forms a deeper coffee bed and directs hot water towards the bottom of the cone.
  • Spiral ribs: Leave space between the filter paper and dripper for air to escape during blooming.
  • One large opening: Rather than fixing the flow through several small holes, it lets the brewer adjust the flow rate through pour speed and where the water lands.

All materials share the classic V60's basic geometry. Material mainly changes weight, feel, impact resistance and the need to preheat before use; grind size, coffee-to-water ratio and pouring technique remain the main controls over the brew.

Dimensions are listed in width × depth × height order. The grain and colour of natural olive wood vary from piece to piece.

How to use

  1. Fold a V60 cone filter of the corresponding size along its seam and place it in the dripper.
  2. Rinse the filter paper with hot water and preheat the dripper and server; give the ceramic model a little longer to preheat.
  3. Add ground coffee, wet the bed evenly for the bloom, then pour in stages according to your recipe.
  4. Once the dripper has cooled, remove the filter paper and clean with water and a soft sponge.
  • Avoid knocks and sudden temperature changes with the glass and ceramic models.
  • Hand-wash the olive wood stand and dry it straight away; do not leave it soaking.
  • Dry the stainless-steel model after use and avoid scratching its surface with hard-bristled brushes.

I’ve been using this sharing cup for my single-origin filter coffee, and it has genuinely enhanced the drinking experience. The wide, flared shape seems to concentrate and amplify the coffee’s aroma, making each sip more expressive. I also find that the coffee tastes noticeably sweeter, with better clarity and balance.
